- Sunblock –The first and amongst the most essential things to pack with you is an effective sun protection lotion. Anything above SPF 30 should do the trick. Apply liberally all over the exposed areas of your body. Though, if you’re looking for that perfect full body tan, then you can give this a skip.
- Beach Chairs –As much as lying down on the beach is tempting, it may not actually do wonders for your backbone. To avoid such a situation, bring a comfortable, low slung beach chair for each adult. Kids may still prefer sitting on a beach towel, but adults love their chair. While buying, look for a chair that folds compactly, or one which has a carry strap for easy handling.
- Umbrellas –Along with beach chairs, a large umbrella to provide you with some much needed shade would be wonderful. Also, when any of the kids gets a bit too much of the sun, the umbrella will always be there to offer protection.
- Change of clothing –Another essential item to carry is change of clothing’s. After a fun-filled day at the beach, there’s nothing like fresh clothes to put on for the ride back home.
- Sand Toys –Spend about ten bucks and buy a large set of sand buckets, shovels and molds. It will keep the kids busy and also provide you with some enjoyable time. Make sure you build your sand castle far away from the water, so that the tide doesn’t wash it away and close enough to get water for building your sand castle.
- Waterproof Camera –Clicking pictures of the fun times is a great way to relive those happy moments once again. It is a must to take a waterproof camera, the ones that you use once and throw.
- Play things -Packing a Frisbee, beach ball or the likes can provide some fun filled sport for the trip.
- Snacks –After all the enjoyment, there’s nothing like some refreshments. Burgers, sandwiches or some munchies are essentials to take along to the beach.
- Bottled water- With the sun blazing, and that not stopping you from enjoying the beach, you are bound to feel a bit dehydrated. Pack a couple of bottles of water and it’ll help you sail through the day.
- Backpack –All the above needs a place to be packed, and here’s where that one big backpack would come handy. It can fit most of the above including a wet-towel which can come handy whenever a kid’s around with sand, lotion or anything tending to enter their eyes.
